We are currently learning about Geometry. We learnt about all different lines, 2D and 3D shapes. The children enjoy exploring 2D and 3D shapes and being creative and hands-on with their learning.

The children love Discovery Time, which gives them the opportunity to explore, create, build, and have lots of fun with their learning.

As part of our Health Unit in Term 3 the children have been thinking about all the things they are grateful about. One of the children started a discussion about people who become paraplegic through a tragic accident and how they deal with their situation. Mrs Howard decided that the children could have a go at doing a foot or mouth painting to make us realise how difficult it is when you can't use your arms, hands and fingers. The children did a lovely job with their foot and mouth pictures!

Life Education with Tim and Harold

It's always great fun when Tim from Life Education comes to visit with his friend Harold. We had a great time on the bus learning about eating healthy foods and how the digestive system works. We were lucky enough to have Harold visit our school assembly as well. As always Harold was very cheeky, but we loved his movements. songs, dances and his messages. Thanks for visiting Tim and Harold!

Patterns with Shapes

During the cold winter, many children have been inside making these wonderful patterns with shapes. Don't they look amazing!

Discovery Time

This Discovery Time was based around the theme of 'construction'. The children put on their green think hats and were very creative about the items they could produce with boxes, lego or blocks.

Autumn Art

We are lucky at Winchester School to have so many beautiful trees. The colours that they produce during Autumn gave us the inspiration to create these wonderful autumn trees.
